Dark spots happen in 3 stages.

TRIGGER
Sun, Acne or Hormones
UV exposure, post-inflammatory signals, or hormonal shifts tell your melanocyte cells to start producing melanin and your skin's pigment molecule.
PRODUCTION
Melanin manufactured in excess
Melanocytes overproduce melanin and pack it into packets called melanosomes.
TRANSFER
Melanin delivered to skin surface
Melanosomes are transferred to keratinocytes and the cells that form the visible top layer of your skin.
DEPOSITION
Visible dark spot forms on surface
Melanin deposits in the upper skin layer, accumulates, and becomes the visible discolouration you see.
Stop The Spots At Every Single Point

Step 1: Stop pigmentation at the source
Before a dark spot can form, melanin has to reach the surface. Idebenone, an oil-soluble active, works at this level and penetrating deep enough to block pigmentation at the source and prevent it from ever making its way up.
Step 2: Brighten, sweep, renew
Lactic Acid gently sweeps away dulled surface cells while Retinol and Niacinamide accelerate turnover, fading existing spots and revealing fresh, even-toned skin faster.
Step 3: Stop the cycle from restarting
Even after existing spots fade, new triggers keep the cycle going. The Water gel sunscreen closes this loop, preventing new pigmentation from forming in the first place.
